Private contractors in Iraq have a bad reputation, and it's tainting our country's reputation around the world. From civilian abuse to sexual assault to shootings, the behavior of some of the contractors is unacceptable. What's worse is that there is little to no accountability for these contractors. We need to stand up and demand accountability for all private contractors who represent the United States.

I do not want to see my tax dollars wasted on sweetheart contracts, lining the pockets of greedy contractors—companies like Blackwater USA and KBR. It is time to hold contractors accountable for their reckless and brutal acts and to stem the flood of taxpayer dollars to these unaccountable contractors. 

I am calling for consequences.

Any government officials or private contractors guilty of graft or atrocities must lose their jobs and go to jail.
